A Waterfront Hideaway in the Heart of the City. One of the most difficult tasks for a design firm is to create an image for a dining establishment. Traditionally, their success is carried by word of mouth, with little or nothing spent on paid advertising. Add to that a location that is off the beaten path in a newly developed area, and the challenge is even more acute.
Successful Long Beach restauranteur Denny Lund hired Gasp to develop a logo for his newest restaurant, Tantalum, based on architectural renderings and a tour of the raw space. The restaurant was to feature a menu of Asian fusion cuisine. A full bar would overlook a gorgeous, 180ยบ view of the Marina Pacifica waterway.
Gasp created typographic wordmarks, logo designs and icons that reflected various aspects of the Asian fusion concept.
The restaurant is currently a booming Long Beach hotspot, the only one of its kind in the area.
